Monthly Action for Animals in Labs

Want to "write" wrongs done to animals? Use the power of the pen to let charities know how you feel about cruel and outdated animal testing. Please ensure that your letters to the Cancer Prevention Institute and National Craniofacial Association, which are known to be animal-friendly, are polite.
  • Ask the Cancer Prevention Institute to Join the Humane Charity Seal Program

Although the Cancer Prevention Institute states that it does not fund animal research, it has not responded to the Council on Humane Giving's requests to sign its statement of assurance for charities. Organizations must assure the council in writing of their humane policies before they can be added to the council's list of humane charities. Please contact the Cancer Prevention Institute and politely urge it to join the program so that the public will be informed of its animal-friendly policy. Let this charity know (please see this sample letter if you need guidance) that you only support charities that have given assurance of their humane policies in writing.

    Please send polite comments to:
    Cancer Prevention Institute
    601 W. Riverview Ave.
    Dayton, OH 45406
    866-274-4543
    937-293-7652 (fax)

  • Ask National Craniofacial Association to Display the Humane Charity Seal of Approval

National Craniofacial Association has taken a wonderful step—it has assured the Council on Humane Giving in writing that it does not fund cruel animal research. National Craniofacial Association is now eligible to display the Humane Charity Seal of Approval, but it has yet to do so. This is a crucial part of the program because the seal lets potential donors immediately recognize that a charity is cruelty-free. Please politely inform this charity of your support and encourage it to display the seal, which will convey to everyone the charity's compassion for humans and other animals:
    National Craniofacial Association
    P.O. Box 11082
    Chattanooga, TN 37401

  • Tell the Food Allergy Initiative to Stop Animal Research

Let the Food Allergy Initiative know that as long as it continues to waste valuable resources on dead-end animal research, you will not support it or any of its sponsors:
    Food Allergy Initiative
    41 E. 62nd St., 4th Fl.
    New York, NY 10021
